Watercolor Wall Art
Try this watercolor bubble technique to create whimsical works of art.
What You Need
Tempera paint
Dish soap
Water
Bowls
Drinking straws
White paper
Mix 2 tablespoons of tempera paint with 2 tablespoons of dish soap and 1/2 cup of water in a shallow bowl. Insert a drinking straw into the mixture and blow into it until the bowl's surface is covered in bubbles.
Lay a piece of plain white paper across the bowl. The bubbles will pop, leaving prints on the paper. Allow to dry and repeat with another color. Play with the color intensity and size of the bubble prints by tweaking the paint recipe and number of bubbles to pop.
Take your dried, final work to a local copy store and enlarge the best results from your experiments, right.
