How to do it

Step 1

Fold Crepe Paper

To start, fold a piece of wide crepe paper into a rectangle. You can find this type of paper at crafts stores and online. Tug on the folded sides gently to stretch out the paper. Fold the paper in half again lengthwise.

Step 2

Cut Fringe

Cut the folded crepe paper in half. This will make two folded sections. Cut fringe along both open ends of the folded paper, making sure not to cut too far into the center. Carefully unfold the paper.

Step 3

Create a Display

Tape one end of each fringed streamer to the wall or ceiling. Use washi tape for extra decorative flair. Twist the streamer lightly to create a swirled look and tape the other end to the floor or baseboard.
