What You Need

  • 1/2-inch round hole punch
  • Colorful paper
  • Small hole punch (binder size)
  • Ribbon or string
  • Two wooden skewers

How to Make It

  1. Punch out a variety of colorful 1/2-inch paper circles.
  2. Use the small hole punch to create two holes in each circle, like the holes in a button.
  3. Thread "buttons" along ribbon, in and out through the holes. Leave enough ribbon at both ends to tie.
  4. Make as many strands as you'd like. Tie each end of the ribbon  between two wooden skewers.
  5. Place a strip of washi tape underneath each strand to prevent it from slipping down.
