12/06/2018 — The color moment we’ve been waiting for all year is finally here! Pantone released their pick for the 2019 Color of the Year. Although many paint companies and color experts have their own favorite colors, Pantone tends to be the most influential.

This year, it’s Living Coral—a vibrant red-orange that has a soft side. It’s inspired by colors found in nature and represents our lively social media presence. Get ready to see this color more and more as home furnishings and fashion brands follow Pantone’s lead. Below, we pulled together a few products you can buy now to bring Living Coral into your own home.

Coral pairs well with just about anything vintage. Remember those retro coral Pyrex bowls? Point made. That’s one reason why we love this botanical print from Anthropologie. It comes framed and features a distressed finish. Nature-inspired prints look great when hung in the kitchen, bedroom, or even a bathroom.

Oh, the joy of pillows. They’re cozy, inviting, and the easiest way to incorporate a trend into your decor. This blue, white, and coral botanical-print pillow is a low-risk way to test out Pantone’s Living Coral. Throw it into your current mix of pillows, and if you grow to love it, pair it with a coral lamp.

We thought Pantone’s Living Coral looked familiar. KitchenAid released their very first Color of the Year last year and it was a vibrant coral inspired by the tropics. Lucky for you, that color line is still available. Pick up a coral small appliance to add a punch of color to your kitchen.

Get two hot trends in one home accessory with a coral pouf ottoman. The fun color makes it a statement addition to your living room, bedroom, patio, or kid’s room. When you’re alone and relaxing, the pouf is a great footrest, but when company floods your home, it’s extra seating in a pinch.

Living Coral was picked by Pantone’s color experts who travel the world looking for inspiration. So it's fitting that this Kitula Quilt is an artisan product made from the ancient art of hand screen-printing. Coral and blue make a complementary pairing that’s perfect for this global-inspired bedding.

You might not want to paint an entire wall in a shade similar to Living Coral, but you can still dress up your walls and windows in the 2019 Pantone Color of the Year. Look for coral curtains in stores as this hue picks up popularity. These curtains have a white geometric pattern that can suit any modern design.

Another quick and inexpensive way to experiment with the latest color trend: candles. This trio of pillar candles has an ombre coral design and three different heights. LED lights are safe to leave on without worry of causing a fire, and the scented wax makes these faux candles look convincingly real.
