To commemorate her husband's first day as a second grade teacher, Jenna Robertson designed a special layout.
Jenna relied on her computer to help her solve several design issues she encountered. First, she chose a brown graph paper design she found online and then printed it onto plain white paper to create the patterned background. She scanned the too-large pencil and book die cuts into her computer, resized them, and printed them directly onto the background along with the title. For her journaling box, Jenna used the same graph paper design and digitally lightened the color. She typed out the message before printing and attaching it to the page. The rest of the layout came together with die-cut ABCs and a handcrafted apple shape with a cropped photo mounted inside.
