Summer Paper-Piecing Patterns

Dress up your scrapbook pages with these simple beach-theme paper-piecing patterns that add a touch of whimsy to any scrapbook design.

Embellish a Piecing

Design by Jodi Sanford

To balance the journaling block in her layout, Jodi created a sign and a watermelon that fit her theme. Letter stickers finish the sign and also serve as the title.

Crumple Your Papers

Design by Jodi Sanford

Jodi crushed her light orange paper then smoothed it out before using it as the center and then added one set of rays for a sun. She stitched around the center circle to attach all the layers.

Keep Designs Simple

Design by Jodi Sanford

Sand-color cardstock makes an easy sand castle piecing. Jodi added a fun flag element to the top but otherwise kept it simple, making the design perfect for any beach page.

Make an Invitation

Design by Natasha Roe and Michelle Rubin

Michelle turned Natasha's pattern into an easy party invitation by enlarging it and tracing it onto folded cardstock. She then cut pieces for the stripes from cardstock printed with a sentiment.

Chalk Your Piecings

Design by Jodi Sanford

Jodi added dimension to her easy-to-make bucket and shovel by shading the edges and the bottom left corner of the bucket with chalk slightly darker than the color of her cardstock. The technique adds depth to the embellishment and makes it look more realistic.
