Circus Tent Paper Piecing

Life under the big top is preserved with a fun tent piecing that frames photos taken at the fair. Jennifer pieced the top of the tent together, then set it aside while she assembled the back and sides. Then she layered the sections on the page as shown, using adhesive foam to add depth.

Stars and Stripes Paper Piecing

Design by Erica Hernandez

A barbecue invitation sparkles with shining stars and patriotic colors. For a Fourth of July invitation Erica pieced a flag and topped it off with a chipboard star colored with a paint pen. Chalk ink helps define the edges of the stripes.

Watermelon Paper Piecing

Design by Erica Hernandez

Sweet Ice Cream Treat Paper Piecing

Itsy Bitsy Bikini Paper Piecing

Design by Erica Hernandez

A yellow polka-dot bikini will keep your summer cool. Erica hand-cut the polka dots of this yellow bikini with a craft knife, but a small circle punch is a great time-saver. Experiment with ribbon bows instead of cutting out ties from paper.
