DIY Pretty Pink Christmas Wreath

My favorite types of DIY Christmas decorations are ones that are cute, simple, and inexpensive, and this one checks all of those requirements! You only need a few materials, which can be found at most dollar or craft stores. This handmade holiday wreath is sure to make your front door shine.

Isn't there just something about a wreath that screams Christmas? Often times when we are decorating the inside of our homes, we forget about the outside, too. Of course, we have pretty Christmas lights up, but there are so many more possibilities! I like my decor to be subtle and tasteful, which is why I adore the soft pink mixed with some greenery in this wreath.

I love holiday buzz words like love, joy, peace, and hope. They are so simple, but each of them is so incredibly important, and I enjoy being surrounded by them whenever I can. Naturally, I knew I would want a piece of decor that reflected one of these.

What You'll Need

  • Wood letters: J and Y
  • Wreath
  • Pink spray paint
  • Floral wire
  • Twine
  • Faux peonies
  • Greenery rope
  • Faux pink berries

Step 1: Prepare the Materials

Spray paint your letters pink. For a more vibrant color, paint a couple coats. Try adding a fun finish like glitter or luster for even more holiday cheer.

Get creative with your letters! Fill your entire front door with a festive Christmas wreath. I chose to spell joy, but you can try spelling longer words like merry, bright, or noel. This DIY holiday wreath can be displayed from Christmas through Easter thanks to it's fun pink color.

Step 2: Assemble the Wreath

Decorate your wreath! Choose one large bloom like peonies or poinsettias to anchor the wreath. Accent it with colorful berries, ribbon, or seasonal greenery. Using your twine, tie your letters onto the wreath.

My favorite types of DIYs are ones that are cute, simple, and inexpensive - and this one checks all of those requirements! You only need a few materials, which can be found at most dollar or craft stores. I also prefer DIYs that can be used over and over again, and I already know I'll be reaching for this come winter next year. But honestly, if you choose your colors right, this beautiful piece can get away with being up all year!

It's always important to remember to treat others with kindness, but more so during this time of year. This wreath is such a wonderful reminder to keep my spirits up and spread positivity to others whenever I see it.
