What You'll Need:

  • Cricut Metallic Gold Leather
  • Cricut Maker
  • Blade: Deep-Cut Blade
  • Festive wreath (you can find some great base options at your local crafts store)
  • Hot glue gun

Step 1: Cut word

Measure the inside width of your purchased wreath so you'll know how large to size your word art. Use Cricut Design Space to choose your design and adjust the size. Try using a seasonal word or even your last name. Place the leather on your Cricut cutting mat. Once you have your design ready, send it to the mat and cut the design on your Cricut. Make sure you choose the "leather" setting and use your deep-point blade to cut the leather.

Maker Tip: When you load your mat, put the metallic side of the leather up and rub the top so it's very flat.

Step 2: Assemble

Once the leather is cut, pull the finished word off your mat. It's ready to apply to the wreath. Place the word in the center of the wreath and apply glue to both sides to secure. Let dry completely and hang. This DIY Christmas wreath makes a great personalized holiday gift.
