What You'll Need

  • Bottlebrush trees
  • Spray paint in various colors
  • Wreath form or plain wreath
  • Craft wire
  • Scissors

Step 1: Prepare Trees

Remove the bases from your bottlebrush trees. They should twist or pull off easily. If not, cut with a wire cutter.

Step 2: Paint

In a well-ventilated area, spray paint your bottlebrush trees in your desired colors. These trees took three coats of paint each. We recommend one initial light coat for base coverage, then two additional coats, allowing each coat to dry in between. Try choosing a rainbow of colors to create a bold and bright look.

Step 3: Arrange Trees

Start placing your trees around the wreath form to get an idea of how you'd like them arranged. Play with various combinations of colors and sizes as you plan out how you'd like to arrange the trees.

Step 4: Secure Trees

Once you have an idea for your tree arrangement, start wiring the trees to the wreath. Cut a length of wire, slip it through a secure point on the wreath form, wrap it around a tree, and twist the ends of the wire together so that it's taut. Trim the ends of the wire. Continue in this manner until all of your trees are wired on.
