What You'll Need

  • Pom-pom trim in different sizes and colors
  • Scissors
  • Hot glue or fabric glue
  • Ivory stockings
  • Pom-pom maker
  • Yarn

How to Make It

1. Cut length of each pom-pom trim a bit longer than the width of the front of the stocking. Glue trim to the center of the stocking and fold the trim around the stocking. Glue the ends of the trim to the back side. Use different colors and sizes of trim to create a horizontal striped design on the front of the stocking.

2. Use the pom-pom maker to create pom-poms from coordinating yarn, or use store-bought pom-poms in coordinating colors. Tie a grouping of pom-poms together to create a hanging embellishment. Attach this grouping to the stocking's loop so that the pom-poms dangle off the side. For a bolder statement, use more pom-poms for a longer hanging or create a hanging that uses a mix of tassels and pom-poms.

3. Hang the stocking and enjoy! Try tucking in a few sheets of tissue or paper to fill in the bottom of the stocking.
