Stock up on all of the tiny things, because it's diorama time! There's something so fun and whimsical about these little geometric Christmas ornaments. Make enough to fill a whole tree!
Paint the insides of all of your hexagon boxes. Feel free to use alternatives to the usual holiday color palette! Try colors like navy, pink, and orange. Apply two coats for richer colors.
Mask off the inside of the box at a diagonal angle using painter's tape. Paint the unmasked portion of the inside of the hexagon box. Let dry and apply a second coat if necessary. Once the paint is dry, gently remove the painter's tape.
Drill a small hole on one panel of each box. This will be where you will hang the hook, so this panel will become the top of your ornament. Insert the ring of the toggle hook through the small drilled hole. The toggle should stay on the inside of the box, securing the ring from slipping through the drilled hole.
Cut a 4" length of wire. Slip it through the ring on the outside of the box. Twist the ends together and trim them off to create a loop. This is where you will hang your ornament. Decorate your dioramas! Use a glue gun to attach miniatures to the inside of your ornament.
