How to Make Salt Dough Ornaments

[MUSIC] How to make salt dough ornaments. You'll need: cookie sheet with parchment paper, flour, measuring cup, rolling pin, food coloring, salt, cookie cutters, colored sand, mod podge, spray lacquer, paintbrush, twine, straw. Mix 1 cup salt and 2 cups flour. Add food coloring to 1 cup warm water to achieve desired color. Pour water into dry mixture. Mix until ball forms. Knead and roll out dough ball. Roll to about 1/4 inch thickness. Cut out shapes with cookie cutters. Place on cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. Poke a hole in the end of the ornament. Bake at 250 degrees for 90 minutes; flip, then bake another 90 minutes. Let cool. Apply layer of Mod Podge. Sprinkle with sand and let dry. Spray ornament with sealer. Thread jute twine or ribbon through hole and hang.
