Print the pattern for the felt heart and cut it out with scissors. Cut two pieces out of felt to make one heart. Attach a piece of thread that is double your arms length through the eye of a needle. Line up both ends of thread and tie a knot. Line up the 2 heart shapes and use a blanket stitch for the outside.
To create the stitch, poke your needle up through the inside outer edge to hide the knot. Then come back around and poke up through both layers. Before you pull the thread tight, insert the needle back down through the loop to complete the blanket stitch and repeat.
Keep stitching around the outside edge keeping an inch open to fill with fiberfill. Use more for an overstuffed look or a small amount if you want a thinner Christmas ornament. Then continue to stitch the heart closed.
Cut an 8-inch piece of ribbon and use a yarn needle to insert it around the stitches in the top middle. Tie both ends at the top.
