Natural Ways to Decorate Your Christmas Mantel
Create a rustic mantel with natural elements. A natural wreath, fir cuttings, and a pile of pretty birch logs make a big statement on the cheap -- see how!
[MUSIC] This Christmas enlist the help of mother nature, to create a rustic mantel that's warm and festive. [MUSIC] Make statement with a natural wreath. We chose one made from driftwood, which picked up tons in the living room floor. Other great options include grape vine, twigs, fir branches, or berries. For maximum impact, pick a wreath that's at least one quarter the length of your mantle. Instead of throwing away tree trimmings, use them as mantle embellishments. Tuck cut branches here, there, and everywhere to fill in blank spaces on the ledge. Balance the red and green by adding white ornamental leaves to a few collectible containers. Finally illuminate that void next to the fireplace by adding a basket filled with birch logs for a nature inspired flourish. You can find these birch logs cut to lengths at a garden center. Plan on paying a few bucks per foot [MUSIC] This holiday when you decorate your mantle let nature be your guide. Combine just a few natural elements with your personal style to create a warm welcome to the season.
