Wine, Ice, and Champagne Bucket
Look in your china cabinet, storage closet, and attic for accessories you can put to use during the holidays. A simple wine chiller or ice and champagne bucket can be transformed into a chic, pretty stand for a small Christmas tree or a vase for seasonal flowers and plants.

Decorate with Furniture
Incorporate your existing furniture into your holiday décor, too. Leave open drawers to store a pretty arrangement of wrapped gifts, hang Christmas stockings from the drawer pulls, or hook a festive wreath on the front of a cabinet door.
The tops of dressers, chests, tables, and cabinets offer a variety of creative opportunities during the holidays. Cluster a group of small Christmas trees, store and stack wrapped gifts, or tuck in other Christmas details in unexpected spots.
Trays and Candlesticks
After you've trimmed the tree, create a few coordinating holiday displays by placing extra ornaments, some greenery, and a collection of pretty candlesticks in decorative trays. This gives you a quick and easy way to dress up entryway tables, coffee tables, guest bathrooms, or your kitchen.
Vase and Candle Holders
Put surplus vases and even candle holders to use holding colorful Christmas arrangements. Fill with extra greenery from your Christmas tree, branch clippings from your backyard, or faux branches and floral stems. Use these fun flourishes on tables and counter tops.
Holiday Bar or Hot Cocoa Station
Create a fun and festive bar or hot cocoa station for holiday entertaining on the top of a console, side table, or chest. Use pretty glassware to store bar and hot cocoa supplies such as stirrers and straws, chill wine in an ice bucket, and set everything in a decorative tray for an instant bar. Serve cocktail nuts, marshmallows for hot cocoa, or candy canes in candy dishes, or tuck festive cocktail napkins in them.
