11 Christmas Gift Baskets to Send to Everyone on Your List
A festive holiday delivery is a great way to send some Christmas cheer to friends and family members you aren’t able to see in person this year.
Choosing and wrapping the perfect gifts for everyone on my list is one of my favorite holiday traditions. But this year, I’m learning that gift-giving looks different in a pandemic. Normally I collect gifts throughout the season and wrap them as early as possible so I can hand them out as I see friends and family at holiday events. But since I won’t see many loved ones in person this year, I’m planning on wrapping fewer physical gifts and ordering more online.
Luckily, there are plenty of seasonal gift deliveries available that are festive enough that you don’t even need to worry about wrapping them! Just add them to your cart, write a heartfelt gift note, and wait for the delivery confirmation.
Here are a few of my favorite gifts for those of us shopping for long-distance friends and family members this season.
Every winter I head to the mall and buy all of my stocking stuffers from See’s—because who doesn’t love holiday-shaped chocolate? This year I’m buying most of my gifts online, but my friends and family members will still be getting See’s Candy from me. They have a good selection of holiday gift boxes, like this ornament-theme box that’s filled with all kinds of chocolate treats.
A gift box from Knack is one of the easiest ways to brighten someone’s day. Choose from dozens of their expertly curated gift boxes, or choose the make-your-own option to build a box with everything your recipient will love. This Winter Warmers box comes with two gorgeous mugs, chocolate peppermint and salted caramel hot cocoa mixes, and snowflake-shaped marshmallows.
Hilliards Chocolates is known for their gourmet wood boxes filled with decadent chocolates, barks, and desserts. Their homemade peppermint bark is a delicious way to surprise someone you love this season. Plus, they have both Christmas and Hanukkah themed boxes this year.
Christmas gift baskets aren’t limited to chocolate and cookies! Stonewall Kitchen jams are one of my favorite splurge items (their black raspberry jam is insanely good), and their holiday gift basket makes it easy to share with friends and family. This box has three 12.5-ounce jars of jam in three flavors: Wild Maine blueberry, strawberry, and black raspberry.
I look forward to Harry & David’s holiday Moose Munch all year, so I’ll be sending this holiday trio to a few special folks on my list (including myself) this season. The popcorn tin comes with three kinds of decadent drizzled popcorn: Milk chocolate, dark chocolate, and classic caramel. Yum!
In my effort to support as many small business as possible, North Country Charcuterie has become one of my new favorites. They’re a family-owned company in Ohio that makes curated charcuterie kits with farm-raised meats and local ingredients. They have charcuterie kits for all occasions, like this set filled with some of their most popular items: Sheep’s milk cheese, tart cherry and strawberry jam, and a few kinds of salami.
Holiday-themed ice cream is one of my favorite winter treats, and Jeni’s is the best of the best. This year, gift someone you love a few pints of Christmasy goodness by sending them a holiday ice cream box—just make sure to let your recipient know when it’ll be delivered, so they can get it in the freezer right away. Or, send them a gift card so they can pick their own flavors (the white chocolate peppermint is my favorite!).
If you’re looking to send something decadent, Godiva is always a solid choice. Their limited edition holiday truffle set is filled with 12 melt-in-your-mouth truffles in red, green, and gold wrappings that are unmistakably Christmas themed. In addition to milk chocolate, dark chocolate, and white chocolate, this box also contains salted caramel, Christmas cookie, and cranberry flavored truffles.
This non-traditional gift idea is a no-brainer for anyone on your list with a sweet tooth. Cotton Blues cheesecakes have been a staple dessert in the South for decades, and they’ve just started shipping (for free!) nationwide. Each 4-pound cheesecake is handmade in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, and ships on ice to anywhere in the country. The hardest part will be choosing what flavor to send (I recommend sea-salted caramel).
If you’re shopping for someone who would rather have a glass of red than a box of chocolates, Vinebox makes it easy to gift a selection of wines. This Winter Wine Tour kit has nine kinds of delicious European wine in 100 ml vials, so your recipient can taste their way through the holiday season.
No one does Christmas cookies like Mrs. Fields—and we can’t think of anyone who wouldn’t love to be surprised with a tin full of tasty treats. Order a gift box packaged in a gorgeous ornament-shaped box (filled with 18 classic cookies and one ultra-festive frosted peppermint cookie) or have a customizable heart-shaped cookie cake made especially for your recipient.
