What you need

  • Scissors
  • Pencil

  • Assorted green cardstock
  • Crafts glue
  • Felt poms
  • Double-sided tape
  • Leaf template

How to do it

Step 1 Cut wreath form

Using our free template, trace and cut 24 leaf shapes from different shades of green cardstock or patterned paper. Cut a round wreath shape out of cardstock. This is what you'll glue your leaves to. We cut ours to be 4-inches in diameter with a 2-inch circle cut out of the center. The easiest way to cut out the center is by folding the entire circle in half and cutting out a semi-circle—once you unfold the circle, you'll have a perfect hollow wreath shape. Don't worry about a crease in the cardstock, the ring will soon be covered with paper leaves and the crease will be hidden.

Step 2 Add leaves and poms

Use crafts glue or store-bought glue dots to attach the paper leaves to your cardstock wreath forms. The leaves should each overlap slightly with contrasting shades of green until the wreath form is completely hidden. Add berry-colored felt poms with crafts glue. Tuck the poms into the paper leaves where they overlap. To attach your paper wreath gift topper to a package, use double-sided tape.
