This easy-to-make bow adds a delicate handmade touch to any gift. And, you can make it in two easy steps! Choose ribbon in three colors and widths; we chose ribbon that coordinated with our wrapping paper design. If you use a patterned paper, match your ribbon to one of the smaller pops of color rather than the wrap's main shade to make your bow stand out.

What You'll Need

  • Ribbon in three widths
  • Scissors
  • Hot glue or fabric glue

Step 1

Use three widths and three types of ribbon to fashion this bow. Cut the widest ribbon the longest, the narrowest ribbon the shortest, and the remaining ribbon a length in between. Notch the ends and stack on top of each other; use a dot of glue to attach each ribbon to the next.

Step 2

Tie the stacked lengths in the center with another piece of ribbon, leaving long tails. Trim and conceal the ribbon tails left by the fourth piece of ribbon, or use the tails to secure the bow to the package.
