The holiday greenery doesn't have to be limited to Christmas trees or evergreen garlands. This season we're decorating the Christmas tree with faux succulents. These handmade ornaments are pretty and festive.
Use faux succulents to create this gorgeous succulent ornament that you can hang on the tree year after year. Going faux is also a great way to get colors and shapes of succulents that your local garden shop might not have. We used a variety of hues and succulent shapes to create variety and depth in our orb.
Wrap a length of ribbon around a foam ball, crossing the ribbons at the bottom and tying a knot at the top. With the remaining length of ribbon, create a hanging loop; secure the ribbon with hot glue.
Attach the succulents to the orb by poking the succulents' stems directly into the foam ball. Poke the stem into the foam, and then secure the base to the ball with a dot of hot glue. Continue all the way around the orb until the entire surface is covered in faux succulents; then use the hanging ribbon to display this pop of greenery with the rest of your Christmas decor.
