What You'll Need

  • 1½" turquoise velvet ribbon
  • 1½" teal satin ribbon
  • 1½" pink satin ribbon
  • 1½" teal raw silk ribbon
  • 1" pink twill tape
  • Ruler

  • Scissors
  • Peel-and-stick adhesive strips
  • Cardstock (simliar color to ribbon)
  • Hot-glue gun
  • Wire
  • Step 1: Make the Bottom

For bottom layer, cut seven 12-inch pieces of velvet, teal satin, and cardstock same width as ribbon. Use adhesive strips to sandwich cardstock between one velvet and one satin ribbon, right sides of ribbons facing out. Repeat with remaining ribbon pairs. Bend a stiffened ribbon and glue ends. Repeat with remaining pieces. Cut a 5-inch cardstock circle. Arrange and layer loops as shown, gluing together and then to cardstock.

    Step 2: Form the Middle

For middle layer, repeat step 1 using seven 9-inch strips of pink satin and raw silk, gluing circle to bottom layer instead of cardstock.

    Step 3: Assemble

For center bow, wrap a 24-inch piece of twill tape around hand three times. Fan out loops and glue layers together in center. Repeat to make a second ribbon bundle. Wrap short piece of twill tape around center of a bundle and glue ends. Stack bundles and glue together, then to middle layer. Punch small hole in cardstock circle and thread wire through to hang.
