See how Maxwell Ryan of Apartment Therapy makes a garland inspired by nature and ice cubes that do more than keep drinks chilled. Both ideas are incredibly cheap and easy!
[MUSIC] One of my favorite holiday hacks I call stolen texture pennant flags. This you make just by using a color xerox, even at work. And what I do is I xerox anything from a leaf To a pine bough, to packaging, to a catalog. And then I cut them all out into little flags and hang them across the room. When you Xerox them really big and with the bright colors and you cut them up, no one recognizes where they're from. But they're beautiful, bright, colorful flags, very unique and very personal. One of my favorite holiday acts in the food department is to get one of those kitschy little ice cube trays that are all shaped like hearts. Instead of just putting the water in, get pomegranate seeds, spread them in each one, fill them with water, freeze them. Now you have beautiful Slightly flavored ice cubes shaped like heart with a red seed in the middle to put in all your guests' holiday drinks. [MUSIC]
