When Katia Beauchamp co-founded Birchbox in 2010 with Hayley Barna, she was on a mission to transform the way people shopped for beauty online. With the help of seasoned beauty editor Mollie Chen, the two launched a service designed to help both beauty novices and connoisseurs alike. What started as a monthly subscription of personalized beauty product samples, has grown to include operations in six countries, and stores in New York City and Paris.
