Whether you're a beauty junkie, a fashion fanatic, or just in the mood to treat yourself, there's a niche subscription service that will ship you a little something special each month. Here are 10 worth trying. (After all, how nice would it be to get something in the mail besides bills?)

You are going to need a bigger mailbox. Subscription and rental services have made snail mail popular again; according to Entrepreneur.com, there were almost 7,000 subscription box companies in the world in 2018, around 70% based in the U.S., and the number of companies offering fashion and beauty boxes has only grown this past year. Subscription services can be a lifesaver to those who hate to go to the mall, don't know what to buy, or simply lack the time. With a few clicks, you can have a stylist offering wardrobe suggestions or even all-new makeup to freshen up your routine. While having so many options is wonderful for the sake of variety, we also understand that choosing the right one can feel almost as overwhelming as shopping itself—that's why we scoured through hundreds of companies and whittled the list down to 10 subscription boxes to suit your fashion and beauty needs. Signing up is easy. Patiently waiting for your first box to arrive is the hard part.

If you're looking for a very customized beauty box that takes into account not only your skin tone, hair, and eye color but also which types of products and color shades you regularly use, this is the subscription box for you. If green eyeshadow or a new facial cleanser isn't going to seamlessly integrate into your routine, you won't receive them. But if red lipsticks and volumizing hair products are on your wish list, expect to see them in your box.
