While Wini has covered just about every food topic imaginable—from bargain wines to fancy desserts—she's most passionate about the easy-yet-inspired everyday French cuisine she's discovered throughout more than twenty summers living and cooking in France. Her most recent cookbook is "Everyday French Cooking: Modern French Cuisine Made Simple," published by Harvard Common Press in 2022.

Wini is also passionate about historical and heirloom recipes. As the author of "The Little Women Cookbook," she researched cooking and the food culture of the mid to late 19th century. She also served as the researcher and contributing writer for "Test Kitchen Favorites," a Better Homes and Gardens book that explored nearly a century of great American cooking, dating from the 1920s to the early 2000s.
