Susannah Felts is a Nashville-based writer and editor with more than 20 years experience in culture, health, arts, and lifestyle writing and reporting. In 2014 she cofounded The Porch Writers' Collective, a nonprofit literary arts organization, which as grown to become the largest organization of its kind in the Southeast. Felts has written for the Chicago Reader, the Nashville Scene, Southern Living, Health, Oxford American, Better Homes & Gardens, Real Simple, and many other publications. She has written extensively about the food and beverage industry, books, lifestyle trends, health and fitness, and more. She is a columnist for BookPage, covering lifestyle books.

Susannah has a BA in American Studies and a minor in Creative Writing from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and an MFA in Writing from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She has received fellowships and residencies from the Ragdale Foundation, Rivendell Writers' Colony, the Hambidge Center, and the Virginia Center for Creative Arts. She has been named a Tennessee Williams Scholar at the Sewanee Writers' Conference and is the recipient of a Tennessee Arts Commission Individual Artist Fellowship.
