Olivia Hanson Olivia Hanson is an editorial assistant with nearly two years of experience as an e-commerce writer, product researcher, and product tester. She began her career as an intern on the shop team, writing content for brands including People, MyWedding, Real Simple, and Shape. It was here that Olivia honed her editorial skills and learned how to research products, write engaging copy, and select visual appealing imagery. In December of 2020, Olivia joined the Meredith e-commerce team as an editorial assistant contributing articles to various Meredith brands such as People, InStyle, Real Simple, Better Homes & Gardens, Southern Living, and Travel + Leisure. During that year, she also began managing the Better Homes & Gardens shop newsletter, wrote articles for Prime Day, Black Friday, and Cyber Monday sales, and contributed to various branded content and partner content initiatives. She also created all manual affiliate links for the team and assisted with creating imagery and writing engaging copy for the shop homepages and category pages, highlighting for readers what to shop based on holidays, seasons, and product popularity.Olivia graduated from Iowa State University in May of 2020 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism and a minor in apparel, merchandising, and design. While there, she was involved Trend, the university's fashion magazine, for two years and held various leadership positions including lifestyle editor and story styling director. Additionally, she wrote several articles for the school newspaper on Iowa State's fashion department. She also hosted the university's Fashion Show in 2019, started a podcast, and started her own television show through the school's newspaper. While in college, she also completed two internships, one at ShopBazaar, the e-commerce division of Harper's Bazaar Magazine, and the other on the e-commerce team at Meredith.
