Maria Masters

Maria Masters is a freelance writer with more than 10 years of experience. While in college, Maria worked as a reporter at The Pitt News, the University of Pittsburgh's daily student newspaper. There she polished the writing and interviewing skills she would use in future positions.

After writing for Pittsburgh Magazine and Delta Sky Magazine, she joined Rodale Inc. as a reporter and eventually became an associate editor.

As associate health editor at Dotdash Meredith (formerly Meredith), she expanded her interests to write about pregnancy and parenting. She brought more than a decade of experience in interviewing doctors, nutritionists, and other experts on health topics to her work.

Maria later became a senior editor at Hearst Magazines.
