Brian Kramer brings more than 25 years of editorial experience to Better Homes & Gardens. He writes, edits, and develops the work of expert contributors in the areas of do-it-yourself, home improvement, hands-on decorating, remodeling, storage, and organizing.

Brian comes from a hands-on, home-focused family. He started working at his parents' carpet, paint, and wallpaper store when he was 10, assisting his dad on installation projects. (Yes, he stenciled his bedroom walls without asking while in high school.)

His love of language and passion for clear, empowering communication led him to study English in college and seek out as many and varied writing assignments as possible. (Notable writing oddities include how-to for crochet patterns, marketing copy for a janitorial supply catalog, and ghostwriting for a TV chef.)

As an editor with Wiley, he learned the power of brands, editing titles and eventually developed a new series for CliffsNotes and For Dummies, which lead him to Better Homes & Gardens, where he's been able to combine his love of words and home for two decades.
