Wedding Cake

Serve a cake fit for a wedding during any engagement.

Take a look at these tips for creating a Wedding Cake:

Try This Technique:

Step 1.

1. Using a metal spatula, quickly spread thick layer of Butter Frosting (at least 1/4 inch thick) over entire cake tier. Use short, slightly curved strokes to spread the frosting.

Step 2.

2. To insert dowels, place a dowel about 2 inches from edge of cake; gently push it into cake until flush with cake top. Repeat with other dowels, spacing evenly apart.

Step 3.

3. Holding tip at 45-degree angle almost touching cake, squeeze gently to make leaf base. Continue squeezing but ease up on pressure as you pull tip away. Stop pressure; lift off.
