I'm Sue from Better Homes and Gardens. I can't tell you how many dozens of cookies we've baked in the Test Kitchen over the years. But because of that, we have some secrets to success that will help you figure out when your cookies are perfectly done. First, follow your recipe's timing and visual guidelines for doneness. It should tell you what to look for and when but ovens bake at different rates and different cookie sheets produce different results. So use your best judgment too.
