These stamps are a favorite among card makers, and they're also great for beginners. Unmounted rubber stamps are similar to wood-mounted rubber stamps, except where they come in a sheet, and they're a little bit harder to

gonna talk about is the Wizard by Spellbinders. This is a portable tabletop Machine, and it retails for $129.99. The dies start at $12.99 and go up. The cool thing about these is they're chemically etched, but they also emboss, they die cut, and they stencil as well. Let me show you how to use it. The first thing you're going to do is start by creating a sandwich . You do this by placing a master mat on the bottom. Next, place a spacer mat in the center of the master mat, and then place the die with the raised-side up onto the center of the mat. Follow with your paper, and then finish off with another master mat. Make sure the handle of the Spellbinder is all the way back before using the machine. Place your sandwich into the front of the machine, giving it a gentle push into the machine before you start. Roll your sandwich all the way through, and once you're finished, removed the mat and the spacer and the paper to reveal your cut design. To emboss, simply remove the spacer mat underneath your paper and replace it with an embossing mat over the top. Create another sandwich with your master mat, and then push it through the machine again. This machine can also set eyelets. It can flatten bottle

use today. The first tool, and probably the most important, is an embossing gun. An embossing gun is really more like a mini blow dryer. It's inexpensive and you can find it easily at scrapbook or craft shops. The next thing that you'll need, and it's probably equally important, is an ink , an embossing ink , and there are 2 ways that you can find that. You can find the embossing ink in pens or in pads, much like stamp pads. You'll also need embossing powders that come in a rainbow of beautiful colors or you can get it in clear as well. Another thing that I find is really important is what is called a tidy tray. This is a tray that I use for catching excess embossing powders, and I'll show you how to use that in a moment. First, let's work on the embossing pen. I'm gonna use black today. An embossing pen looks like a special or it looks like a regular marker, but it's got special ink that the embossing powder sticks to. I'm gonna use this for my name today. You can also use an embossing pen for doodling or drawing. Let's use this beautiful green color . Just hold your image over your tray and dump the powder . Don't worry about getting too much powder dumped on because that's what the tray is for. See, I've just tapped off the excess, and now, with the tidy tray, the excess powder will just easily dump right back into the canister using that spout. Okay, here's where the embossing gun comes in. Just turn it on, and hold your gun about 2 inches above your image. Now the powder is just gonna look flat, but once it starts to melt, then the magic happens, and it will get shiny and raised.

Etc. Magazine. I wanna tell you about how you can use drag-and-drop digital photo templates to make your scrapbooking as easy as possible. I really like using these drag-and-drop templates that I've created because it allows me to use a lot of different photos, print them as 1 sheet, and then scrapbook them traditionally because I still like to play with paper and stickers. So this is 1 that I did for a recent editor's letter. You can see that I entered the photos in some of the slots on the templates , and then I filled other spaces with patterned paper. I printed out the images and then I just embellished as I normally would. This is another variation on that same template. It's the same basic structure, but instead, I use photos in more of the spaces, and let the pattern be behind the images rather than as mixed into a part of it. So, let me go ahead and show you, on your computer screen, how you can use the drag-and-drop digital templates . The first thing you'll need to do is open one of the templates in your photo editing program. I'm using Adobe Photoshop here. Once I have the template open, I wanna go ahead and do

of transparency. This is gonna help you when you go back to stitch the lines later. So just do some evenly spaced holes, then once you've done your hole design, your gonna take your needle and thread and just stitch it all up much like I've done here. Now, above each image, you wanna leave a space, big enough for a straw
on my excess pile. Then, what you're gonna do is your gonna stitch up the rest of that hole like this one that we did here. We finished up all the stitching. I left some of the threads just so you could see the different places where we stitched, and now, what you wanna do is take your craft scissors and just trim right along the edge. Now, you will loose a little bit of sand, but we're gonna fix that later with the clear adhesive. So, on this one that's already been stitched up, you wanna take the clear glue and just run it right along the edges, and then, that will seal it all up, so you don't lose any sand. Then, once you're done, just take some adhesive, maybe glue dots or some double-sided adhesive, and you can use it to attach it to your page much like Mellette did. So, that's
