Place a 12-ounce package of semi-sweet chocolate pieces into a heavy medium saucepan. This dessert is all about pure chocolate flavor. So, using a finer quality chocolate really makes a difference. Add one cup of whole milk, and a half cup of sugar. Cook the mixture over medium heat, stirring constantly until it comes to a full boil and thickens. This will take about ten minutes. Place three eggs in a medium bowl, and lightly beat them. Gradually stir about half of the chocolate mixture into the eggs. Add the egg mixture to the remaining chocolate mixture in the saucepan and cook it over low heat, stirring constantly for two more minutes. Remove the pan from the heat and add two tablespoons of orange liquor and two tablespoons of brandy. Stir them into the mousse.
