This version fully of tasty beef, veggies, mashed potatoes, and cheese will have your family asking for seconds. Let's start by placing a 17-ounce package of refrigerated cooked beef tips with gravy into a large saucepan over medium heat. You can also substitute 1 pound of ground beef cooked and drained mixed with 1/2 cup reduced sodium beef broth. Add 2 cups of frozen mixed vegetables, 1/10 and 3/4 ounce can of condensed tomato bisque soup and mix them together. Now season with 1 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce, 1 teaspoon of dried minced onion, 1/2 teaspoon of crushed dried thyme, and 1/8 teaspoon of black pepper. Stir it well and bring the beef mixture to a boil, making sure to stir it occasionally. Spoon it into a lightly greased 2-quart rectangular baking dish. Next, place one 24-ounce package of refrigerated mashed potatoes into a large bowl. Use whatever variety your family prefers. You'll need about 2 and 2/3 cups. Stir it until it's smooth. Then spoon the potatoes into 6 mounds on top of the beef mixture. Bake it uncovered in a 375-degree oven until it's heated through and bubbly on the edges. This takes 20 to 25 minutes. Remove the baking dish from the oven and sprinkle on 1/2 cup of shredded cheddar cheese. Let it rest for about 10 minutes to allow the cheese to melt and then call the family to dinner.
