Hi, I'm Eddie Ross, East Coast Editor for Better Homes and Gardens. And today I'm gonna show you how to make some simple decorative napkin rings that you can use for the holidays and special occasions. To make the napkin rings, all you need are, the napkin rings themselves, some ribbon, hot glue, double stick tape, scissors and here, we have some wood linens inspired embellishments. We have some pine cones and little felt leaves and some greenery, but you can get creative and use whatever you'd like. To get started, all you have to do is take your ribbon and measure it around your napkin ring. You wanna give yourself about a 1/2 inch allowance and that so you can make a nice finished edge, and to do that, all you're simply gonna do is use a glue gun and just go along the edge like that and simply just fold it over to give yourself a nice finished edge. And now to adhere the ribbon to your napkin ring, you're simply going to use about of an 1-1/2 inch piece of double stick tape, just place it in the center of the napkin ring like that. Now place the unfinished edge of the ribbon in the center of the double stick tape, just like that. Bring it around and now you have your finished edge meet in the middle like that. And now for the fun part embellishing the napkin rings. To get started, I'm gonna decorate it starting on the finished edge of the ribbon here and I'm simply gonna, just put a little dab of hot glue just like this. You know, I'm gonna use a little bit of the evergreen which will cover up that scene and I find that the evergreen will last to, up to a week on the napkin ring just like that we'll hold it down a little bit just to make sure that it's secured and then I'm gonna use another little dab of hot glue like that and pick up a little pine cone and add the little pine cone just like that. And go in and add one of these cute little felt leaves to finish it. And make sure to try this easy yet elegant napkin ring. It's something that you can change off from holiday to holiday throughout the year.
