Homemade Strawberry Ice Cream

You'll begin by placing 2 cups of strawberries in a medium bowl. Mash them with a potato masher until they're crushed and set them aside for an hour. Place 4 ounces of softened cream cheese in a large mixing bowl and beat it with an electric mixer on medium to high speed until it's smooth. Add a half cup of milk and beat the mixture until it's just combined. Now, you'll add the mashed berries, another half cup of milk, 1 cup of whipping cream, half a cup of sugar, 1 teaspoon of vanilla, half a teaspoon of almond extract and, if you'd like, add a drop of red food coloring for that eye-appealing red. Beat the mixture until it's just combined. You'll need a 2 to 4-quart ice cream maker. Freeze the ice cream according to the manufacturer's directions.
