How to Make Blackberry Bourbon Lemonade

Our lemonade cocktail is bursting with the flavors of blackberry and bourbon. See our simple steps for making this delicious summer drink.

Today we're mixing up our blackberry bourbon lemonade recipe for a garden fresh summer drink. To start, we'll make a blackberry rosemary syrup. In a small saucepan, combine blackberries, rosemary, sugar and water. Bring this to a boil then reduce the heat and simmer, uncovered for 30 minutes. Use the back of a spoon to mash the blackberries during the last few minutes of cooking. You'll know the mixture is ready when it's syrupy and has reduced by about half. Remove the syrup from the heat and allow it to cool. Then, strain the mixture through a fine mesh strainer, pressing the fruit with a wooden spoon to extract as much liquid as you can. Now that we have our syrup, it's time to mix up our cocktail. In a cocktail shaker, combine bourbon, lemon juice, the blackberry rosemary syrup and ice. Shake until well chilled about 30 seconds or so. Then, strain into a glass filled with ice, top it off with sparkling lemonade and a few blackberries. Cheers to a fresh from the garden summer drink that's made for sipping.
