DIY Stamps from Vegetables
Make your own stamps with vegetable. Here's how to make them and how to use them to add playful patterns to fabric.
Make pretty floral prints on fabric with veggie stamps. Try cabbage, bok choy, or as in this case, celery. To make a celery stamp, cut a celery bunch 2 to 3 inches from the end. Wrap tape around the end to hold it together and let it dry for 20 minutes. With a foam paintbrush, apply a light coat of paint to the exposed celery ends. Avoid dripping paint between the stalks. Firmly press the stamp on to the fabric and remove it without sliding. Repeat to create your design. Dip a style stick into the paint, roll off any extra, and paint on stems and leaves. Use this technique for a bright floral punch in any room that needs some perking up.
