How to Make Homemade Pizza Dough

There is nothing quite like a piping hot pizza straight from your oven, and no I am not talking about frozen pizza or one made with pre-package dough. Our secret to success-- home-made dough. It makes all the difference in flavor with its yeasty aroma and crisp texture, home-made dough delivers true pizzeria flavor. This is so simple. First, use a wrap-it rice or quick rice yeast. All you do is combine it with the ingredients, both wet and dry and mix. Now if the dough seems too wet, add more flour a couple of tablespoons at a time. And if it seems stiff, add water a teaspoon at a time until it's easy to work with. When the dough forms a ball around the hook or if you're mixing by hand-- the spoon, test it by poking your finger into it. If any dough remains on your finger, mix it for a few more minutes and test again. If your finger comes out clean rhe dough is ready to rise. Just shape it into a ball, place it in a large oiled-bowl, cover and let rise. So that's the Better Homes and Gardens Secret. A simple home-made crust. It makes all the difference.
