" Not an ocean island this with the space we design -- living magazine. And our client profile is based on the majority of our readers and it was splitting the average age. And we decided on an empty Nester couple. We're -- would be somewhere between the mid forties to mid fifties. And so we decided that age demographic problem and appreciate your real hard space real industrial space as much as younger. In demographic -- I decided a little bit softer. We have the interior designing even traces in the building next. -- given a split level space and basically we had to design. A floor plan using two different levels are total square footage I believe is around 1676. And because of the split we designed it with three levels actually like -- trial. On -- see him entry and master bedroom and bath on the first level. -- you can go up to another bedroom and bath. And then down into the main living area of the kitchen. And half bath and back entry. I don't think it what I call soft contemporary because they knew they weren't listening hard and mission might wanna integrate some of her favorite pieces from their family on into the state. I tackled that my number one paint walls and trim. The lighter. Using wooden. Would trim work right. And then in the it in the furnishings. Choosing soft and it's natural linens and restate her bed and -- on the bad. Minimally used pattern. Little accident the pattern here and there and texture all over the place but nobody patterns to distract the -- Nice flow when you walk into the room and opened low which makes you feel larger and aren't you get some storage into the space you really have to be creative that you really can't do it in any space and aloft isn't huge space. But for instance in the in the bathroom we we built a twelve inch deep Hughes all along one wall in the bathroom. Which provides a lot of storage a lot of little items and howls and we did the same thing Nina bedroom. The fireplace there is an indentation on either side of our place we built in twelve inch deep cabinets and -- this unit had an area in the -- entry so we we provide some additional -- there. The biggest appeal of loft living is obviously being in the city being so close night all the cultural. Amenities and the events that could -- hear there's a certain energy. In the city. I think for this particular couple it's a really good. Fit for their lifestyle at this time in their lives."
