" To give a plain mirror graphic punch, try this! Mirrors are a great way to reflect light around the room, but they don't have to be plain and they don't have to be expensive. At the craft store, pick up a few inexpensive glass squares and a can of etching spray. You'll need to put a stencil on your design. The best thing to do is to buy a stencil from the store and then trace it onto clear contact paper and then cut it out; we already have. I've already placed two of these rectangles on the mirror and then place a third on here. You can do any kind of design you want as simple as these rectangles. You could also do circles, ovals. You could even do monograms. Whatever stencil you find, just transfer it to your contact paper. Make sure you press out this contact paper quite a bit and get all the little bubbles out and press it around the edges so you'd get a great seal. When everything is in place, take your etching spray. Place it at about 10 to 12 inches away from the mirror surface and then just spray on the coat. This will take about 20 to 30 minutes to dry. Just get it nice and even. After it's dry, go in and remove the contact paper stencil, like this. And you've got a great graphic look."
