" This ice cream cake is definitely the cat's meow and it's so simple to make. What you wanna do is start out with a tray of brownies. You can use whatever brownie mixture recipe you may have and I'm just gonna take it out of my tray and put it right on the cutting board to peel off my aluminum foil. Lining your pan with foil just makes it really easy to get the brownie right out, to lift it right out. Now, I'm gonna use the base of my springform pan to cut out the actual form for my cake. So, I'm gonna put it like so and just kind of cut around with a really sharp knife, and I'm gonna peel off the pieces that are not gonna fit in the cake. So, I'm just gonna slide the bottom of my springform pan right underneath my circular cake cut out and now I'm just gonna pop this right into my pan. Great! Now, I've got some softened ice cream. You can actually microwave this just to get it a little soft and I'm just gonna pour this right on, like this. I just love ice cream cakes. They're so delicious. There's something about the ice cream and the cake, it's like a perfect combination. So, now that we got our ice cream on here, I'm gonna smooth it out just to get a nice even coverage over the brownie, just like that. Now, what you need to do is just pop this in the freezer to get the ice cream nice and hard since it's already a little soft. And then we're gonna come back and put all the toppings on it. So, I've just taken my cake out of my freezer so it's nice and hard and now, we're ready to start the fun stuff, which is decorating it. It's so much fun. So, I've got here I've got some cookie crumbs and the way that I made this is I actually took chocolate cookies and put them in a food processor to get the crumbs. And now I'm gonna sprinkle this on to give out black cat his furry face and you just wanna sprinkle this on and make sure you get good coverage. Okay, so I've got my cookie on there. So, our kitty got his little furry face and now we're gonna put on our features. So to create the ears, I'm actually gonna use blue corn chips because they have that really pointy cat-ear look and I'm just gonna dig it into the ice cream, like that. And I've got my little other cat here. This is a really fun fruit leathers, kids love these. Just peel it right off the plastic and these are a kind of tropical flavored ones so it got this marbled color, perfect for cat eyes. So, I'm just gonna use a pair of scissors and I'm gonna cut out a little cat pupil. You wanna make it long and kind of oval shaped just like a cat pupil would be. So, I've got that right here and I've got one that I already made. And then for the actual cat eyes, I'm using white gum balls. So, I'm just gonna put my fruit leather onto my eyes likes this. I'm gonna stick one eye right about there and then I've got my other gum ball and I'm gonna put my leather on it and I got my second eye. You can see I'm starting to come together now, huh. And now, we got a cute little cat nose. I'm just gonna use an orange gum ball for Halloween for his little nose and I'm gonna put it right there. And for his whiskers 'cause every cat needs whiskers, I'm gonna use some green licorice 'cause I think the color is great and I'm just gonna use my scissors and just cut this in half, like this. So, I'm gonna make 3 whiskers for each side of his little nose and I'm just gonna go like this and I'm just gonna tuck them under and sort of dig them in to the ice cream a little bit to give them a little bit of dimension. So, I've got my 1, 2, 3 whiskers and now for his mouth. This is so super doper fun, I'm gonna put him to the side for a little bit and I'm just gonna grab over this is a fondant. And what I did was I actually colored it with a little bit of food coloring paste and I just kneaded it into it to get the orange and yellow colors. And these are little once you got it colored you can make these little cylinders out of them. They're about 1/2 inch thick and they maybe like 3 inches long. So, you just take this and you put them on some wax paper and you roll them out to get them nice and flat. So, I've got it rolled out here, nice and flat. So, you can do this preformed however you'd like. We're just gonna create a little smile so I'm just gonna do the bottom part of my smile, kind of like that, say. And you can just have fun with this, you know, however, you'd like it to be is totally fine. This is where your creativity should really get flowing and then you just pull out your smile and you're gonna put it right on your kitty like this. And so now, we're gonna put him back in the freezer for a little bit and then we can take him out and his ready to serve. This is going to be such a hit at your next Halloween party."
