Marbled Cookies

Swirling a little food coloring through sugar cookie dough gives the finished cookies a fun, marbled effect -- and they're decorated before they even go into the oven.

" It is easy to make marbled cookie cutouts using sugar cookie dough and food coloring. To start, put on gloves or plastic baggies to protect hands from staining. Press the dough in, about 5 places to create small wells for the food coloring. Add a few drops in each. Begin kneading the dough. Keep pressing and folding the dough until the food coloring is streaked through the dough. Try not to over-knead the dough, because if you do, you'll lose the marbling effect. Roll out the dough. You should see the colored streaks. Use your favorite cookie cutter. Bake following sugar cookie dough instructions."

Well, this looks all the world like heavy cream in this pot here, but actually, in fact what it is, is 2% evaporated milk, chicken broth, and garlic.
