" These houses are constructed from chocolate bars and then seamed with some more chocolate. So if you need the instructions on the template to make one of these houses, you can download it right from bhg.com. So I've let it set up so that it's nice and sturdy, and now, I can continue decorating. So I'm gonna continue with this side of the roof. You can see that I've used some little candy wafers here to make my shingles, and I'll show you exactly how I did it. So I've got my bag with melted chocolate here, and I'm just gonna squeeze out a nice thick line of chocolate. That'll go right across this bottom row. There we go. And now I'm just gonna line up my wafers. And these actually work perfectly so that they, 2 of them pretty much go halfway across the bar. So I'm just gonna do 2 like that. And now for my 2nd layer, I'm gonna build it on top of the 1st layer. So I'm gonna do the same thing. Just squirt out a nice thick row. like that. So you can see that I'm building it so that it overlaps just a little bit. Just like real shingles in a real house would. So each part is segmented like this, and you can see that this little dividing line runs across. That's a perfect guideline to line up your shingles. So the great thing about decorating with candy is that you can always, you know, put candy where maybe there's like little gaps. So right here, I've got a little bit of an irregular seam. So I'm gonna use a peppermint stick like this to just kinda fill it in so you don't notice it as much. So I'm just gonna squirt in some melted chocolate like that, and then I'll stick down my peppermint stick. Perfect. So this is really where you have fun. You can kind of add on candy wherever you'd like. Just get creative with it. I'll put a little stained glass window in there. And then along the sides, I've got this little heart-shaped window made out of some peppermint sticks. You really just wanna grab a bunch of candies, stick it on there, and have fun with it. Colorful candies are really fun, but you could go a different route with your decorating. Take for instance, this little nut house. For the shingles, I've used almonds. I've got some crackers as a front door. Created some texture on the walls with some seeds. Now if you wanted to go the all-chocolate route, you could use some chocolate wafer cookies as the shingles for your roof. And then I left the little candy coin in its wrapper just to add some bling. So whether you're gonna go the candy route or you're gonna use other decorations, this is super cute and super simple."
