Measuring Liquids

Accurately measuring liquids such as milk or vegetable oil isn't hard -- but it does require the right utensils and a little attention to detail.

" To measure liquids such as milk, use a glass or a clear plastic liquid measuring cup. Liquid measuring cups have the spout plus a ream above the last mark that guards against spilling. Set it on a level surface. Then, bend down so your eyes are level with the marking on the cup. If you are using the newly designed liquid measuring cup, there is no need to look at the cup eye level. You may look straight down into the cup. Measuring spoons are used for small amounts of ingredients. For liquids such as vanilla, fill the spoon to the top and try not to spill any."
