Keep Piecrust from Overbrowning

The last thing you want when you've taken the effort to make a homemade pie is burnt crust. Keep it a beautiful golden-brown by protecting it with this simple foil ring.

" Her is a simple solution to keep high edges from over browning. Fold a 12-inch piece of foil in quarters. Cut a circle out of the center. Unfold and loosely curl the edges of the foil. Then, place and fit the foil over the pie crust. You can put the foil along from the beginning and remove it before baking is complete, or you can watch the crust as it bakes and put it on before the edges get too brown."
