" Curtain rods can be expensive, but they don't have to be. All you need is something long and straight, like a pool cue, a baseball bat, a fishing pole, a hockey stick, or even garden sticks. These are bamboo garden sticks we got at the garden center and they're gonna make a great curtain rod. All you have to do is rough it up a little bit with sandpaper first so that it holds the paint a little bit better, and then take a can of spray paint in whatever color matches your décor, and give them a little spray. Get some good even coverage on there. This might take a few coats. It depends what kind of look you want. If you want more of a rustic look, it doesn't matter if the spray paint covers every single little bit. It kinda gives you the weathered look. Once it's dry, just thread it through a tub top or a grommet curtain, and you've got a great look."
