Two Weeks Ahead

Take an inventory of your tablecloths and napkins. Teach yourself a new way to fold napkins.

 

Plan and make decorations.

 
One Week Ahead

Review your recipes. Look for new ones in our Recipe Center.

 

Check thawing time for frozen turkey.

 
Two Days Ahead

Chill beverages and mix ingredients for warm drinks like hot cider.

 

Make cranberry sauce.

 

Heavy housecleaning should be done -- spot-clean any rooms that need it.

 

Make all dishes that can be prepared ahead. Don't forget the pies!

 

Prepare stuffing.

 

Make the side dishes that can be baked ahead of time.

 
Thanksgiving Day

Put turkey in oven and baste every half hour, or as directed in your recipe.

 

Make gravy and last-minute vegetables.

 

Carve turkey.
