Rainbow Turkey
This colorful turkey is great to hang at your front door. Your kids will have a grand time making it.

- Paper plate without plastic coating, or brown cardboard
- Scissors
- White glue
- Hole punch
- Pencil
- Brown poster paint
- Paint brush
- Yarn or string
- Red, blue, green, yellow, orange and brown construction paper
- Black marker
1. Take your paper plate and cut the center out of it so that the rim forms a wreath. Paint the paper plate brown or cover with brown or black cardboard.
2. Cut a head for the turkey from the brown paper and glue it to the bottom of the wreath. Cut eyes and beak from yellow papper and glue them on the head. Take a black marker and make black circles on the eyes.
3. Cut a wattle from red paper and glue under the beak.
4. Cut the legs from orange paper and glue them so they hang below the head of the turkey.
5. The feathers for the turkey are made from 3 1/2 inch strips of different colors of construction paper. Plan on making at least 50 of these depending on how full you want your turkey.
6. Wrap each strip around a pencil and very carefully slide the pencil out of the rolled paper to retain the curl.
7. Fill the entire wreath with paper curls making sure you spread the colors evenly.
