Trio of Mint Collection We offer this fine collection of three scented mints so you can create a many layered fragrance garden. These plants combine minty and fruit flavors with refreshing perfumes that revive you when summer days are hot a...nd oppressive. These mints make wonderful iced teas, punches, fruit salads, and sorbets. Mints spread readily by underground stems, so it's best to grow these vigorous herbs in containers or confined spaces. One plant of each variety, three plants total. Spearmint (Mentha spicata) -- A refreshing aromatic that is used traditionally for seasoning lamb, jellies, and teas. Its flavor, though, is particularly delightful with tiny new Potatoes, Eggplant, and in delicious Middle Eastern salads like tabouli. Peppermint (Mentha x piperita) -- There is no substitute for the flavor of fresh Peppermint in cool summer drinks and it's a pleasure to use Peppermint sprigs as edible decorations and garnishes. A classic kitchen garden herb plant that's been used around the world for ages. Apple Mint (Mentha suaveolens) -- A sunny sweet scent, warmly flavored of minted apples.
